Growing Tips for Dank Sinatra
Dank Sinatra is a difficult strain to harvest, even if you have extensive experience in cannabis cultivation. Dank Sinatra marijuana plants will thrive indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the ability to completely control the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of the Mediterranean. Dank Sinatra cannabis seeds grow into vibrant green plants with smaller orange and green buds, thanks to the pistils and resinous trichomes covering the bud sites. If you choose to grow outdoors, you will need to hope for consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to completion. Doing so will ensure that you grow healthy buds from the top of the plants to the buds closest to the soil. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow to a medium height and can reach around 2-3 feet tall. Because the plants reach a maximum indoor and outdoor height of 3 feet, they can be cultivated in smaller grow areas like outdoor garden grows. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 68-80 degrees Fahrenheit and slightly cooler at night. Humidity levels should be kept around 40-60% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage, but lowering the humidity every week will help this plant grow. Growing indoors will ensure that the moderate humidity levels and moderate temperatures are consistent and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Topping, High-stress training (HST), and Low-stress training (LST) methods will get these plants to harvest. If performed correctly, these techniques will help to increase the total yields and bud production. Each method can alter the canopy so that light and air reach the lowest buds on the plant, creating an even grow from the topmost buds to the soil. The Dank Sinatra strain requires an 18-20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. Changing the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle will induce the flowering stage and get your plants to harvest.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Dank Sinatra strain to harvest after a flowering period of 60-70 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 500 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 500 grams per plant. These yields are hefty and totally worth the extra time and effort.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the end of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Dank Sinatra: Citrusy Diesel
The Dank Sinatra cannabis strain terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is myrcene, while limonene and pinene are the secondary terpenes.
- Myrcene: Most Dominant – Earthy and robust, this terepene is known as “The Mother of All Terpenes.
- Limonene: Secondary Terpene – Found in the rinds of citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, oranges, and even grapefruits.
- Pinene: Pine-Like Flavor – This terpene is commonly found in pine needles and conifer trees and gives cannabis plants their pine-like flavor and aroma.
